{"id":15851,"date":"2020-07-10T10:03:00","date_gmt":"2020-07-10T10:03:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rsb.org\/?p=15851"},"modified":"2020-11-26T10:14:15","modified_gmt":"2020-11-26T10:14:15","slug":"rsb-submits-corsia-standard-for-approval","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rsb.org\/2020\/07\/10\/rsb-submits-corsia-standard-for-approval\/","title":{"rendered":"RSB submits CORSIA Standard for approval"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>RSB has&nbsp;adapted its best-in-class sustainability standard \u2014 recognised as uniquely credible, practical and robust \u2014 to incorporate CORSIA requirements in our new&nbsp;<strong>RSB CORSIA Standard<\/strong>, which was recently submitted to the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) for recognition.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The RSB CORSIA Standard specifies the requirements for operators along the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) supply chain to produce CORSIA-eligible SAF. This will enable aviation pioneers to claim GHG reductions under CORSIA and demonstrate that they are on the forefront of driving a sustainable transformation of this vital industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SAF \u2014 which can deliver significant reductions in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions while requiring no changes to existing aircraft and infrastructure \u2014 offer the most effective and immediate solution to an industry looking to decarbonise rapidly. The RSB CORSIA Standard goes above and beyond CORSIA requirements to ensure that SAF achieves at least 50% GHG reductions on its core lifecycle analysis, and a minimum 10% when including CORSIA\u2019s Induced Land Use Change values (ILUC).
